It is hard to definitively define Art. Many have tried. It can be almost anything really. And the old saying that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is very relevant here. Art probably does have to be something that is created or performed by people. However it is these people that are forever trying to push out the boundaries and explore the possibilities of the Arts. The traditional thinking confined art to painting (oil on canvas or wall) sculpture, music, etc. There used to be clear boundaries; but not any more.

“Art is the product or process of deliberately arranging certain items (often with symbolic significance) in a way that influences and affects one or more of the senses, emotions, and intellect. It encompasses a very diverse range of human activities, creations, and modes of expression, including music, literature, film, photography, sculpture, and paintings. The meaning of art is explored in a branch of philosophy known as aesthetics, whereas disciplines such as anthropology, sociology and psychology analyse its relationship with humans and generations”

Robert Cummins has been involved in the study and production Art works from an early age and has created may interesting works over the years; he specialises particularly in imaginary landscapes or disruptions of same that offer a stark contrast to the Architecture of the buildings he designs. However many of the workings of the human mind are also explored in the works to date and it is through this love of art and questioning of the form of the built environment and it's relationship to nature that many works were born and led to the detailed interest in Architecture.

The practice will carry out commissions for various purposes and also sell prints of existing works. Sometimes works of art can be linked and incorporated into an Architectural solution. e.g.. Hotel foyer, high-grade retail outlet etc.

If you wish to view more works or are just looking for something unusual or different please contact us and we will take it from there.

Below is a simple sample selection of mainly early and very early past work, much of which were competition winning entries.
